Product Overview
The Sugia OmniScope E3 adopts a fundamentally different inspection philosophy from articulating videoscopes: instead of steering a single forward-viewing tip, it deploys a fixed probe head housing two independent CMOS sensors — one forward-facing and one oriented at 90° laterally — selectable via a toggle switch on the handpiece.
This dual-view architecture eliminates articulation-related downtime in wide-cavity inspections such as automotive body-shell internal corrosion surveys, insurance claims assessments of fire-damaged wall cavities, and furniture/fixture manufacturing quality audits. The operator inserts the semi-rigid probe into the inspection volume and toggles between forward and side views without withdrawing or reorienting the probe.
The 8.5 mm probe diameter permits larger LED illumination rings around each camera port and a semi-rigid gooseneck segment that can be hand-shaped to a desired curve before insertion. The probe retains its shape against moderate contact forces but is not designed for real-time steering. Each camera channel records independently at 1280 × 720 resolution, and a picture-in-picture mode displays both views simultaneously on the 5.0-inch monitor.
Key Engineering Features
- Dual Independent Camera Channels: Forward (0°) and 90° side-view CMOS sensors, each delivering 720p output. Channel switching latency is under 200 ms with no image-frame loss.
- Picture-in-Picture Mode: Simultaneous forward + side display with adjustable PiP window position (quadrant-selectable) for continuous dual-aspect monitoring during probe insertion.
- Pre-Shapeable Gooseneck Segment: 250 mm semi-rigid distal section with anodized aluminum armature; manually formable to curves as tight as 40 mm radius for navigating around fixed internal baffles.
- High-Output Dual Illumination: Independent LED ring around each camera port, each with 4-stage intensity control, preventing cross-channel glare in reflective cavity interiors.
- One-Touch Capture: Dedicated mechanical shutter button triggers simultaneous still-image capture from both channels with automatic file-pair naming convention for audit-trail integrity.
